February 17, 1953
A regular meeting of the City Council held this day convening at the hour of
7:00 P. M. with Mayor Woods presiding. Roll call showed the following present:
Alderman Sebree, Blackaby, Moore, Jones, Skinner, Linder, Rand, Tink, Cook, St. Clair
and Klobuchar. Absent: Alderman Terrening.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and. stood arproved as read.

Alderman Moore is excused.
Resignation from the street department was submitted by Eugene Waddell, who
regnested a weeks vacation pay. It was moved by Alderman St. Clair, seconded by
Alderman Skinner, to accept the resignation and grant request for vacation pay,
and the motion carried by unanimous roll call vote.
Resolution transferring $2500.00 from the Garbage Dept. to the Road. and
Bridge Find, Nunc pro tune as of Feb. 3, 1953, was on motion of Alderman St . Clair,
., seconded by Alderman Cook, adopted by unanimous roll call vote.
On motion of Alderman St. Clair, seconded by Alderman Rand, the Traffic
Committee was empowered to purchase additional street signs as needed, and correct
spelling on a number of street signs, in conjunction with the list submitted by
the Junior Chamber of Commerce, and the motion carried by unanimous roll call vote.
The Mayor submits the name of Lloyd Reinerich to fill vacancy it the water plan*.
It was moved by Alderman Hand, seconded by Alderman Jones to confirm the appointment,
and the motion carried following
e by the following vote. AYE. Alderman Sebree, Blackaby, Jones,
Skinner, Linder, Hand, Tink, Cook, St. Clair and Klobuchar. NAY: None.
Alderman Linder moves, seconded by Alderman Sebree, the city clerk write to the
Fulton County Supervisors, chairman of the Road & Bridge committee, to give all
consideration to the 1mrrovement by black-top of the road between Canton and Cuba,
in connection with the Camp Bills project, and the motion carried by unanimous roll
cell vote.
It was moved by Alderman St. Clair, seconded by Alderman Linder, the Engineer
be empowered to order pipe, hydrants and valves, needed to complete the proposed
water extension project, and the motion carried by the following vote: AYE: Alderman
Sebree, Blackaby, Jones, Skinner, Linder, Hand, Tink, Cook, St. Clair and Klobuchar.
NAY: None. The chair declared. the motion carried.
A communication from the Illinois Inspection Bureau regarding Fire Protection,
was oRe etion of Alderman St . Clair, seconded by Alderman Linder, referred to the
Legal And' Fire Chief to answer, by a viva voce vote.

On motion of Alderman Klobuchar, seconded by Alderman Jones, the meeting then
adjourned.
