A regular meeting of the City Council held this day convening at
the hour of 7 :30P.Iu . with kayor =foods presiding. boll cell showed the
following present -* Alderman Sebree, .Moore, Jones , Skinner, Linder,
hand , 'fink, Crook, 8t. Clair and nlobuchar. Absent: Alderman Blackaby
and Terpening .
lsinutes of the previous meeting were read and stood approved as
read .
Petition of Lildred Brewer for 2 weeks vacation pay, was on motion
of Alderr-aan Hand, seconded by Alderman L-oore granted by a viva voce vote.

Alderman hand moves, seconded by Alderman Linder to approve the

Oook, and "lobuchar. Being a tie vote, the Mayor laul Woods voted
.AYE: Miereupon the chair declared the motion carried and committee
appointments approved.
It was moved by Alde-gran saoore, seconded by Alderman aebree, to
recess in order the committee' s G . K. all claims presented , and the
motion carried. After U.K' ing of bills the council re-convened.
On motion of Alderman Hand, seconded by Alderman w-oore, claims
of the water oc sewer department wer a allowed and ordered paid.
Cn i otion of Alderman Klobuchar, seconded by Alderman �jt . Clair
claims of the Police Department were allowed and ordered paid .
On motion of Alderman St . Clair, seconded by Alderman band,
claims of the Street Dept. were allowed and ordered paid .
On motion of Alderman Linder, seconded by Alderman aebree ,miscel-
laneous claims were allowed and ordered paid .
On motion of Alderman Cook, seconded by Alderman link, claims
of the Garbage department were allowed and ordered paid .
On rrrotion of Alderman Jones, seconded by Alderman �.00re, claim for
Street -ights was allowed and ordered paid.
On motion of Alderman Skinner, seconded by Alderman Linder, claims
of the .Buildings and "irounds were allowed and ordered paid.
The following monthly reports were submitted : Police .)ept ; Water
Newer .wept ; dater i'reatment Plant ; newer treatment plant, City Creasurer;
St. 6upt. ; Bldg. Comm. , and City I.,;ngr. it was moved by 'Id erman Jones
seconded by Alderman 5t. Clair, to acce.;t the reports and place on file.
un motion of Alderman Jook, seconded by Alderman Jones, the
deputy clerk was appointedd to assist in the water department for a
trail period of 30 days , at the salary of the assistant cashier, and
the motion carried by unanimous roll call vote.
l The Liayor submits the following names to the Library Board for a
three year term: A. C. Shepley, r'reeman Swearingen and 'W. P. Ingersoll,
with Alderman ioore from the City Council. It was moved by Alderman
nand , seconded by Alderman at. Clair to confirm the appointr_ients and
the motion carried by unanimous roll call vote.
Bonds of Julian Coultas, Grover Simmerman, howard Gibbons Berman
Walker, Neil Baxterand Kenneth Lindzey, were approved and accepted on
tr;otion of Alderman L,00req seconded by Alderman Klobuchar.
resolution appropriating 05512.80 from the 1-,. 2. T. for I ublic
Benefit Judgment on 28C.S . ; and X3480 .00 on section 29C.S. , was on
Motion of Alderman 5t. Clair, seconded by Alderman Klobuchar, adopted
by unanimous roll call vote.
resolution with the estate hwy. Dept. appropriating : 727.58 for
maintenance of State highways thru the city, was on motion of Alderman
St. Clair, seconded by Alderman Moore, adopted by unanimous roll ,
call vote.
Alderman band reports that the special committee appointed had meet
with members of the ark Board , regarding the annexation of Athletic nark
and were informed by the park board the extension would take in first

the chair declared the ordinance passed, being Ordinance No . 168.
On motion of Alderman hand, seconded by Alderman fink, the city
attorney was empowered to confer with park board members and county
authorities rega.ding the washing out by Big Ureek at Ave. D, caused by
a dam built in the creek, and if necessary to start litigation against
vYalter i�lonn for damages .
On motion of Alderman Jones seconded by link, the absent Alderman
were marked present. emotion of Loore, sec. Jones, adjourned .—e4
